Please make sure to have information about your order ready
(order number, titles etc) for us when you call - let us
know if your order was placed in the store or on the internet.
If you're emailing us - include your order number and any
other important information in your email. If we're not
here or you call after hours - leave a message and we'll
get back to you as soon as possible.
- What are your sales hours?
A: Scarecrow's normal store hours are 11:00am to 11:00pm
Monday through Friday / 11am to 12:00am Friday & Saturday.
- Can I buy a title from your
rental inventory?
A: No - but, we can try and get you a copy of it. If it's
in print we can order it for you right away - if it's not
in print we will try and find you a copy. We won't sell
rare items in our rental inventory for any price (no offers
please!). You can fill out a
Special Order form online here.
- What kind of payments do
you accept?
A: We accept: Cash, VISA, Mastercard, American Express,
Money Orders. We only accept checks from verified Scarecrow
Video members. In special situations - we can accept wire
transfers. If you have ordered from Scarecrow before but
are not a Scarecrow Video member and would like us to keep
your information on file - please let us know.
- Do you sell region coded
DVDs?
A: All of our domestic DVDs (unless otherwise noted) are
coded Region 1 NTSC. Region 1 DVDs are coded to play on
any DVD player purchased in the United States, Canada or
any other North American Region 1 territory. Scarecrow Video
also sells, stocks and rents many items coded for different
regions. Region coded items will only play on a machine
coded for it's region or a region free DVD player. Click

to have a Region Free NTSC/PAL DVD player or be able

DVD players. If you're in North America - this
DVD will play in your DVD player. Customers from
countries that use PAL video signals (Europe, Africa)

on any computer equipped with a DVD drive - computers
automatically convert NTSC or PAL.. |

- What's your return policy?
A: All authorized returns must be made within 14 days of purchase. Items purchased online can be returned at our store for credit.
* Opened or defective purchases can be exchanged for the same item only.
* Scarecrow Video will supply store credits applicable to future orders or rentals for authorized returns - Sorry, no cash or credit card refunds. Restocking fees may apply to returned items.
* We will not accept the return of items due to player incompatibility (region coding, PAL, etc), duplicate purchases (aka. you already bought the item) or if you don't enjoy what you've purchased.
To return your items please follow these directions.
* Please wait for an authorization number from Scarecrow. Items returned without paperwork or an authorization will not be accepted.
* Include all original packing materials, manuals and accessories with the product to avoid fees. If the box is torn or damaged, a restocking charge may apply.
* Your return MUST be accompanied by a receipt.
* If the item is damaged or defective, Scarecrow will cover the cost of reasonable ground shipping. Please, do not ship items COD. COD charges will be deducted from the value of your item or charged to your account. Include a receipt of your shipping cost and we'll arrange reimbursement.
* If you have filled out a return form - your return information and authorization will be in our email response.
* Ship all returns to: Scarecrow Video ATTN Returns/ 5030 Roosevelt Way NE / Seattle, WA 98105. Make sure to mark your authorization # clearly on the package.
Contact us if you think your item is defective - there's a good chance we can help you get it to work.
- Can I buy things online and
pick them up in the store?
A: Sounds great - they'll be downstairs waiting for you
to pick them up. Make sure to wait for an order confirmation
from us though - we wouldn't want you to have to wait!
- How long will it take for
my special order or back ordered title to arrive?
A: Most special orders will only take about 3 - 7 business
days to arrive. Items that are out of print, back ordered
or imported may take longer to get in stock. We will notify
you when your order has shipped or is ready to pick up -
please feel free to email us or call us with any questions.
- How do I check the status
of my order?
A: If you ordered from us via the website: click here to
go to our order status page. Your ID and password are in
the confirmation email you were sent. If you did not receive
an ID/pass or have lost it - please send us an email and
we'll resend it to you. If you have ordered something over
the phone or in the store - call us during business hours
or email us for info on your order.
- How can I pre-order an
item before it is released?
A: If you notice that the item you are interested in has
a release date after the current date - you can purchase
it now and have it shipped to you when it is released. We're
usually able to get it to you by the actual day it is released
- the ship time will depend on what part of the country
or world you live in. We will only charge your pre-orders
when they are actually in stock and shipped.
- Is your website secure?
A: This web site is secured using a Thawte Digital Certificate.
This ensures that all information you send to us via the
World Wide Web will be encrypted. Please click on the Thawte
